NAPLES, FLA. — Betty B. Richman (Betty Mae Bracey), 92, of Naples and Traverse City, passed away Feb. 4, 2013. Betty was born July 6, 1920, in Frackville, Pa. She married Kenneth W. Richman, on Nov. 2, 1943, in Upper Darby, Pa.

Betty worked for Dupont in Wilmington, Del., before her marriage. She was an active volunteer and member of the women's clubs of Ridgewood, N.J., Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J., and Naples, Fla., and the New Jersey Past Presidents Club. Over the years, she held the positions of president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary and a number of chairmanships. She also served as the 11th district vice president for the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs.

Betty was an active member of the Presbyterian Women of Naples, and the PEO (Philanthropic Education Organization) in both N.J. and Fla. She was a member and active volunteer of the Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church in Naples, Fla.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Kenneth W. Richman; son Kenneth W. Richman, Jr. (Stacey Richman); daughter Barbara L. Richman (Gary Schultheiss); granddaughters Kati Miller (Brandon Miller) and Beth Richman. She also leaves great-granddaughters Haley Marie DeCicco and Emily Ann Miller.

A private family memorial service will be held on Monday, Feb. 11. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Conservancy of Southwest Florida, 1450 Merrihue Drive, Naples, FL 34102 or the Leelanau Conservancy, 105 North 1st Street, P.O. Box 1007, Leland, MI 49654.
