Emma Lynn Porter

MANTON — Baby Emma Lynn Porter, of Manton, joined the angels Friday, June 15, 2012, at 4:47 a.m., in the NICU at Munson Medical Center. She was born Thursday, June 14, 2012, at 4:37 a.m., to Eric and Becky (Shively) Porter. She was 5 lbs. 6 oz., and 18 ½ inches long.

Emma Lynn fought long and hard for her life. She touched the lives of many. Emma blessed her mommy and daddy with the most amazing pregnancy and birth. Emma was told every day that she was loved dearly. She always knew how to make those around her smile. After her birth, Emma heard how much she is loved and experienced tender kisses. She is cherished by many. Amongst the angels, Emma Lynn Porter watches over us.

Emma is survived by her father, Eric Robert Porter, and mother, Becky Lynn Porter, of Manton; sister, Angela Porter, of Manton; grandparents, Terry (Sheri) Porter, of Manton; grandparents, David (Dawn) Shively, of Manton; great-grandmother, JoAnn Porter, of Stanton; great-grandfather, Everett Clevenger, of Greenville; great-grandmother, Marge LaVictor, of Greenville; great-grandparents, Robert (Dolores) VanHoorne, of Cheboygan; great-grandparents, Donald (Phyllis) Shively, of Manistee.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, with visitation one hour prior at Hall-Holdship Funeral Home, Manton. Officiating will be Pastor Jim Mosse of Liberty Baptist. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Manton.
