ELK RAPIDS — Bernard P. Lorenger Sr., a former longtime resident of Elk Rapids, died May 25, 2012. His wife of 70 years, Margaret Mary (Pegge), was by his side.
Bernie established Little Caesar's Pizza Parlor in Traverse City in the late 1960s and, with Pegge, operated it until their retirement in 1985.
He is survived by his children, Phil (Maijalissa), John, Christine, Gretchen (Tom) Pixley and Ward (Anne); eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
