Fears for the country

War. Aren't you sick of it?

War in Afghanistan. War on education. War on women. War on the poor and working poor. War on voting rights. War on civil rights. War on the U.S. Post Office. War on science. War on the environment.

What ever happened to people working together to solve problems that affect us all?

There is no real discussion any more, only immediate dismissal of any idea or project even if it potentially benefits everyone. Ideology prevails.

All of this amounts to a war on democracy. War is actually a failure of diplomacy, and constant conflict is a losing strategy.

Will we ever learn the importance of critical thinking and creative discourse?

Will we ever learn that "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" must include justice for all ?

I fear for our country if we don't. As Lincoln said, "A house divided against itself cannot stand."

Give that some critical thought.
