Expects better

As a third-generation Congregationalist, I am appalled and I am embarrassed at the narrow-minded decision by (the Rev.) David Walls to censor an important portion of "The Armed Man, a Mass for Peace," the Muslim Call to Prayer.

How in the name of all that is holy are we ever going to live together in this world in peace if leaders of a major church refuse to understand — nay, appreciate — the multiple ways we humans show reverence to our "one God".

My sincere apologies to Alya Nadji and all Muslims in our community. I expect better of my church.
