Employees know area

Our winter has been pretty mild, but the snow that we have received was handled very well by the road crews; they will do the same good job on future snowfalls.

I am concerned about the possibility of the county taking over the road commission duties. Our road employees know our area well and have done top-notch work through the years. Why change something that is working great?

Wake up, Congress

We, the people, elected a president to work for we, the people. Congress continues to desecrate this office, committing revolting bafflement, against those they swore to represent, then bash the sitting president as lame and ineffective. This is after both parties spent astronomical amounts of money promising results. Yet these are the folks who will help cut your pay, taking away the American dream. While bowing to their corporate gods, undermining the principles this republic was founded on, all in the name of greed.

In summary: We, the people, continuously suffer from a legally worthless corrupt case of ABCS (American battered citizens syndrome) stemming from a pandering, belligerent, dominating tyrant big brother. If only I could find a legal prescription for my ailment.

Prescription/antidote:

n Require elected officials to uphold the Constitution; any deviation could be an act of treason, with punishment accordingly.

n Banish corporate entitlements and the lobbying system.

n Require tariffs on all imports, which would be applied to the national debt.

What is lost is who Congress works for, which is clearly stated in the Constitution that they swore to uphold. Congress and the Constitution's 225th anniversary needs an awakening.
