Manistee/St. Francis boys win ski meet
The Manistee/St. Francis boys picked up a win at the Lake Michigan Conference ski meet at Schuss Mountain.
In the GS, Stephen Siddall won for St. Francis in 51.28 while Cole McCardel was second (51.35), Jeff Summers was fourth and Tyler Hansen was seventh. McCardel won the slalom (57.39), Hansen was second (58.28) and Summers was fourth.
Harbor Springs won the girls meet while Manistee/St. Francis was second.
Nathalie Kenny won the slalom for Manistee/St. Francis in 55.15 and was second in the GS.
Rennie, Waning lead Glen Lake sweep
Glen Lake, led by Christina Rennie and Thomas Waning, swept a Lake Michigan Ski Conference meet at Crystal Mountain.
Rennie won the giant slalom (42.0) and slalom (49.08) in the girls event. Teammates Amanda Lodge (42.31) and Flanny Johnson (42.60) were second and third in the GS. Glen Lake's Kaitlin Gaudard took second (55.10) and Benzie's Bailey Nugent third (55.45) in the slalom.
Waning edged Bellaire's Max Koenig 39.75 to 39.80 in the GS. Benzie's David Cunningham was third (40.17).
Waning took the slalom in 46.18. Cunningham placed second (48.51) and Pete Kerby-Miller third (49.36).
