RECORDS: TC Central (3-1, 2-0 in the Big North); Ogemaw Heights (2-2, 0-1)
WHEN: 7 p.m., Friday
Ryan Verschuren rushed for 122 yards and four touchdowns in Central's 42-26 Homecoming win over the Falcons last September.
Central's special teams were once again special in a 40-0 romp over Petoskey. T.J. Schwannecke and T.J. Schepperly retuned punts for touchdowns — the Trojans have now returned three punts and one kickoff for scores — while Nate Pupel's punting and Jacob Gorter's kickoffs kept Petoskey pinned deep. Pupel boomed punts of 68 and 53 yards. Pupel also led a defense that limited Petoskey to 120 yards. The win snapped a four-game losing steak to the Northmen.
What They're Saying
"We definitely have some positive momentum (three-game win streak). We cautioned the boys not to look ahead (to West next week). We pulled the seniors aside and said this one is on them. They need to keep the young guys focused against a good Ogemaw Heights team. Getting a win on the road in this conference is always a challenge." — TC Central coach Tom Passinault.
