TRAVERSE CITY —
The Near team emerged with an 8-5 win Wednesday in the annual Near-Far All-Star game held at Traverse City Central.
TC West's Matt Beem had two hits and an RBI in the win while Jarred Alkire from Benzie Central also collected two hits.
For the Far team, Petoskey's Hunter Stinger went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
TC Central's Nick Keller and Charlevoix's Coby Herriman were the starting pitchers. Both threw two scoreless innings.
