CHARLEVOIX — St. Francis got back on track Friday with a 26-7 win at Charlevoix.
The Gladiators (3-3) amased nearly 400 yards of offense in the win.
"Overall, we went in with the mentality to go play by play," Glads coach Greg Vaughan said. "Offensively, we did some good things we've been hoping for."
The improvement on offense was showcased late in the third quarter when St. Francis stopped Cadillac on its 5-yard line and then drove 95 yards for a score.
Byron Bullough scored on a 27-yard run, Daniel Gallagher had a 4-yard touchdown, Jake Khoury scored from a yard out and quarterback Austin Currie had an 18-yard touchdown run.
Charlevoix (0-6) was led by Tanner Catt, who tallied 144 yards on the ground. He and Shane Southerland each had 10 tackles on defense.
Charlevoix gets back into Lake Michigan Conference play next week at league-leader Boyne City.
St. Francis hosts Saginaw Nouvel on Friday for the annual Breast Cancer Bowl. The Panthers are the defending Division 7 state champions after beating the Glads in last year's semifinal.
Also part of this year's Breast Cancer Bowl activities is a volleyball match between Boyne City and St. Francis on Tuesday.
