Family Love Letters

Kingsley — Adults can learn how to organize important information for their families in the event of death or incapacity at Family Love Letters sessions.

Free sessions will be offered from 10 to 11:30 a.m. or 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Kingsley Branch Library, 213 S. Brownson. They will be led by Matthew Breimayer from Fortitude Wealth Planners.

A second session from 10 to 11:30 a.m. or 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, will be offered if session one participants feel they need additional training.

Artist and monk

Interlochen — Participants in a four-week workshop will explore how to connect their artistic and spiritual sides.

"The Artist and The Monk" will meet from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 19-Oct. 10, at the Interlochen Public Library, 9700 Riley Road. The program is sponsored by the Senior Center Network and the Friends of the Interlochen Library. It is free and open to the public. Notebooks and supplies will be furnished. Healing Conference

Beulah — The Sleeping Bear Chapter of the Order of St. Luke the Physician will hold a healing conference on Saturday, Sept. 22.

The conference will meet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 8190 Lincoln Road. The Rev. Patricia Megregian, general presbyter of the Presbytery of Mackinac, is the guest speaker.

AIDS Walk

Traverse City — Munson Medical Center's Thomas Judd Care Center will hold the Northern Michigan AIDS Walk Sunday, Sept. 23.

Registration starts at 11 a.m. at Medalie Park, South Airport Road at the south end of Boardman Lake. Speakers will address participants at noon and the walk starts at 1:15 p.m.

Harp class

Traverse City — Marilyn Wares will introduce the tranquility lap harp in a class on Sunday, Sept. 23.

The free class will meet from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Delbert Michel Art Gallery, 516 E. Front St. No musical experience is required and harps will be furnished for class.

Fashion show

Frankfort — PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization) Chapter FF will host a fashion show and luncheon fundraiser for women's scholarships.

Memorial kite fly

Traverse City — Hospice of Michigan will hold a Fly & Remember kite decorating event and memorial service Thursday, Sept. 20, to celebrate family and friends who have died.

Recovery Walk

Traverse City — September is National Celebrate Recovery Month. A local Recovery Walk and Rally will be held Saturday, Sept. 22.
