TCC sweeps BNC meet ski at Cadillac

Traverse City Central swept the boys' and girls' divisions at the Big North meet at Caberfae Peaks.

The Trojan girls won with 27 points while Petoskey was second with 55.5.

Maddie McLachlan won the slalom in 48.2 seconds while Ellen Whiting was third, Adrienne Bruder fourth (51.97) and Mallory Weaver fifth (51.98).

Petoskey's Tori McVicker won the GS in 52.97. McLachlan was second (53.05), Whiting third (54.22), Sierra Olsen was fourth (54.71), Bruder was fifth (55.14), Weaver was sixth (55.92) and Cassidy Klein was ninth (56.50).

In the boy's meet, TC Central won with 39 points while TC West was second with 59.

Carter Marsh from Cadillac won both events.

In the slalom, Kalvis Hornburg from Central was second (47.95), Clark Phelps was third (48.00), Micah Appel was fifth (49.41), Briggs Chapman was seventh (49.55) and Chris Carefoot was eighth (50.10).

Chapman was second in the giant slalom (52.39), Phelps was fifth (53.43), Hornburg was sixth (53.46), Appel was ninth (54.03) and Mark Madion was 10th (55.11).
