MARQUETTE -- Traverse City will be well represented at the upcoming Division 1 state ski finals.
Traverse City Central won both the boys and girls regional titles Thursday at Marquette while TC West's boys and girls finished in the top three to qualify for the finals.
"That was fun to see," Titans coach Ed Johnson said. "That what our feeder program with the Grand Traverse Ski Club can do. No doubt, that's been productive for us."
Traverse City will also be represented in the Division 2 finals as St. Francis advanced both its boys and girls teams.
TC Central's girls finished tied with Marquette with 40 points, but won the tie-breaker as Adrienne Bruder finished 12th in the giant slalom as the team's fifth skier. TC West finished third with 112 points.
Central's Maddie McLachlan won the slalom in 1 minute, 26.95 seconds. Ellen Whiting was fourth (1:30.27), Mallory Weaver was sixth (1:31.51), Bruder seventh (1:32.84) and Sierra Olsen ninth (1:33.96).
McLachlan was third in the GS (1:01.36), Weaver was fourth (1:01.53) and Olsen fifth (1:01.88).
TC West's Monica Hessler was 10th in the slalom, and Nicole Schroeder was 11th in the GS.
In the boys' meet, TC Central was first with 50 points, TC West was second at 83 and Marquette was third with 121.
Trojans junior Clark Phelps won both races.
