MARQUETTE -- Two days, two sweeps for Traverse City Central.
A day after winning at Boyne Highlands, the Trojans won the boys and girls divisions of the Marquette Invitational on Tuesday.
In the girls race, TC Central had 35 points for first, followed by Marquette with 53 and TC West with 127.
The Trojans had six skiers in the top 10 in the giant slalom. Maddie McLachlan was second (60.49), Ellen Whiting third (60.54), Mallory Weaver fifth (61.57), Sierra Olsen sixth (61.54), Adrienne Bruder eighth (62.10) and Cecily Olsen 10th (62.45).
McLachlan won the slalom in 1:22.12, Whiting was third (1:24.11), Weaver seventh (1:27.64) and Cecily Olsen eighth (1:27.74).
For West in the slalom, Nicole Schroeder was 11th (1:30:00), Monica Hessler 13th (1:30.99), Madi Lawton 15th (1:37:30) and Mary Mikko 20th (1:41.92). In the GS, Schroder placed 14th (1:03.25), Lawton 15th (1:04.65), Elle Rivard 19th (1:05.64) and Hessler 20th (1:05.85).
In the boys meet, Central won with 49 points. Iron Mountain was second with 76 points while the Titans finished third with 83.
Central's Clark Phelps was second in the slalom (1:18.15) and GS (59.48). Calvis Hornburg was fourth in the GS (60.49) and sixth in the slalom (1:21.21) while Briggs Chapman was seventh in the GS (61.36) and 10th in the slalom (1:23.55). Micah Appel was seventh in the slalom (1:21.56).
For the Titans, Lee Batcha was third in the slalom (1:19.65), Ryan Ness fourth (1:19.85), Andrew Northway 16th (1:26.61) and Joe Caraccio 19th (1:27.69).
In the GS, Batcha was fifth (1:00.14), Ness eighth (1:00.74), Caraccio 10th (1:01.11) and Charley Hornbogen 18th (1:03.03).
