CHARLEVOIX -- Traverse City West carded a 310 to finish first in the 12-team Charlevoix Invitational at the Belvedere Golf Club.
It was the first tournament win of the season for the Titans.
TC West senior P.J. Dienes was third overall with a personal best 74. John Cannon was eighth with a 78 while Travis Walkowiak and Josh Broad tied for ninth with a 79.
Traverse City Central finished 10th with 378. Marshall Anderson shot 82, Trevor Mattis 87, Keegan Hall 95 and Zach Stieter 114.
Petoskey's Joey Garber was the individual medalist with a 1-under 71.
Suttons Bay claims Frankfort Invitational
Suttons Bay had four players under 40 for a first-place finish at the Frankfort Invitational.
The Norse carded a 153. Glen Lake was second with 162 while Benzie Central shot 171 at the six-team meet.
Charlie Olson paced Suttons Bay with an even-par 36. He was co-medalist with Glen Lake's Matt O'Brien.
Chase Palmer, Adam Wodek and Zack Smith all shot 39 for the Norse.
Other scores for the Lakers included Matt Abramson with 37 and Steve King with 39. Benzie's low score was Sam Hahn with 40.

Frankfort rolled to a non-conference sweep of Brethren.
In the 16-1 win in the first game, the Panthers (15-5-2) had three hits from Jessica Meek while Brittany Soper, Laney Eubank, Paige Banktson, Tami Banktson and Kirstin Kidder each had two hits.
Kristy Boomer homered in the 14-4 nightcap while Eubank and Allison May each had two hits.
Tami Banktson and Kayla Nye combined to win both games and only allowed one hit in each contest.

TC Central captures Grand Haven Invite
Traverse City Central lost just one match in the Grand Haven Invitational -- and that was due to illness.
The Trojans easily captured the four-team tournament with 23 points. Spring Lake was second (10), Grand Haven third (8) and Holland fourth (7).
Pavla Blahova took No. 1 singles with wins over Grand Haven (6-2, 6-1), Holland (6-1, 6-1) and Spring Lake (6-0, 6-0). Laura Spencer claimed No. 2 by beating Holland (6-2, 6-2), Grand Haven (6-1, 6-1) and Spring Lake (default). Adela Fedor won No. 3 with victories over Grand Haven (6-1, 6-1), Spring Lake (4-6, 6-3, 10-2) and Holland (6-1, 6-0). Audrey Lyman captured her first two matches (6-4, 6-1 over Holland and 5-7, 6-4, 11-9 over Holland) before defaulting to Grand Haven due to illness.
Maggie Milliken and Amanda Street claimed No. 1 doubles (6-1, 6-3 over Spring Lake; 6-2, 2-6, 10-7 over Grand Haven; and 6-4, 6-1 over Holland). Jennifer Boullion and Grace Amalfitano took No. 2 doubles (6-4, 6-4 over Holland; 6-4, 6-3 over Spring Lake; 6-0, 6-1 over Grand Haven). Ellen Whiting and Maddie Connick won No. 3 doubles (6-0, 6-1 over Holland; 6-4, 6-0 over Spring Lake; 4-2, 4-1 over Grand Haven). Chloe Seymour and Claire Wodzien took No. 4 doubles (6-0, 6-2 over Holland; 6-1, 6-0 over Grand Haven; and 6-1, 6-3 over Spring Lake).

Elk Rapids used three doubles victories to help wrap up a 5-3 win over Traverse City Central's Gold JV team.
The Elks received doubles wins from Laura Bailey/Emily Sisovsky (6-0, 6-1), Sonja Trierweiler/Sophie Wittbrodt (6-3, 7-5) and Sarah Hayes/Julie Nielsen (6-3, 6-2). Central's Nicole Palmer and Kelly White won their doubles flight 7-5, 6-1.
The teams split the four singles flights, as Central's Kaytlyn Jordan (4-6, 6-1, 10-8) and Kelsey White (1-6, 6-3, 10-5) both bounced back from losing the first set to win at No. 1 and No. 2 singles.
Natalie Ranger (7-5, 7-5) and Sam Davis (6-4, 6-3) took the other singles matches for Elk Rapids (8-2).

Traverse City West took three of four singles flights as the Trojans tied Petoskey 4-4 in a junior varsity match.
Claire Wiley (6-3, 7-5), Kat Bott (6-4, 6-0) and Ally Mayer (6-2, 7-6) won for Central, while the doubles team of Jennifer Payne and Mackenzie Fedorinchik posted a 6-0, 6-4 victory.
Petoskey received wins from Kata Maragiolio and the doubles teams of Sara Rynbrandt/Lanie Ludwig, Jenna Johnson/Erica Baumgartner and Kelsey Bamburg/Natalie Arms.
