KALKASKA — Sophy Menestrina celebrated her 18th birthday in style Tuesday.
The Kalkaska senior hit her first 11 shots from the field, and connected on all six of her free throws, in a 28-point effort as the Blazers rolled past Harbor Springs 80-45 in Lake Michigan Conference play.
Menestrina also pulled down nine rebounds for the Blazers (13-3, 9-2). Kelli Guy added 16 points and four assists and Jamie Myas 10 points, seven rebounds, six steals and three blocks. Tabitha Kibby hit three 3-pointers for nine.
Elaina Ongaro led Harbor Springs with 15. Jenna Lechowicz contributed 12.
Kalkaska hosts Elk Rapids on Friday.
