— BATTLE CREEK - Unionville-Sebewaing has won the first game of the Class C state semifinal match against Traverse City St. Francis, 25-23, to take a 1-0 lead over the Gladiators.
The winner will take on Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central in the state championship match on Saturday. Monroe St. Mary defeated Concord 3-1 in its semifinal.
