PELLSTON — Gaylord St. Mary won its first regional girls basketball title in 10 years with a 64-50 Class D win over Posen.
"It's a great win for the ladies," Snowbirds coach Kevin Foster said. "After losing to Brimley in the (regional) finals last year, it's been a goal of ours all year."
Kari Borowiak scored 18 points, Karli Jacob 15 and Chrissy Smith and Mary Spyhalski each chipped in dozen.
Korynn Hincka led Posen (20-3) with 20.
St. Mary (23-1) moves on to play Crystal Falls Forest Park (20-5) in Sault Ste. Marie on Tuesday.
