TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse City Central swept all four doubles flights Wednesday to win the season-opening Summer Splash tennis tournament.

The Trojans finished with 20 points, Grandville 17, Rochester 9 and St. Francis 2. St. Francis was a late add, replacing Plymouth Salem in the field.

Grandville won the top three singles flights. It was all Central after that.

Garrett Kosch captured No. 4 singles for the Trojans, beating Rochester (6-4, 6-1), St. Francis (injury default) and Grandville (6-0, 6-0).

At No. 4, Trey Pezzetti and Yani Beeker beat St. Francis (6-2, 6-1), Rochester (6-1, 6-0) and Grandville (6-0, 6-2).

Grandville's Matt Hamilton, Zach Rabitoy and Chase Simsa went 3-0 to win the first three singles flights.

Central's Peter Pappas and Skyler Norgaard were 2-1 at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. Daniel Fedor was 1-2 at No. 3.
