TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse City Beach Bums are on the brink of elimination.
Southern Illinois scored a run in the top of the 10th inning Thursday for a 5-4 win at Wuerfel Park and a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series.
The Beach Bums led 4-0 in the game.
Southern Illinois will get two chances to close out the series at home on Saturday and Sunday. A Game 5 would be back in Traverse City on Monday.
