TRAVERSE CITY — Eli Brown followed up Saturday's Vasa win with the top spot in Sunday's 16-kilometer Gran Travers classic.
A Williamsburg resident, Brown won in 48:28, edging out Chicago's Andrew Nadler (48:39).
Grayling's Ryan Harris (48:52) was third and Walled Lake's Daniel Yankus (49:05) was fourth.
In the women's portion, Grand Rapids' Allison Crocker was victorious in 50:47, winning by almost seven minutes.
Marquette's Ellen Wiitala (57:39) was second, Lake Ann's Amy Powell (1:04:13) third and Williamsburg's Jessica Schwab (1:04:43) fourth.
In the 6K classic, Interlochen's Ian Durand won in 22:08, coming in five seconds ahead of Traverse City's Clay Darling. Traverse City's Sean Brownell (22:17) and Kyle Dotterrer (22:36) were third and fourth.
Traverse City's Erin Lipp won the women's portion in 25:06, nearly two minutes ahead of runner-up Lauren Pflughoeft of Traverse City (27:01). East Lansing's Sarah Goble (27:02) was third and Traverse City's Hannah Davis (27:41) fourth.
