Harbor Springs seniors Tec Adams and Olivia Murphy broke their own course record in leading the Rams to victory in the Boyne Valley Co-Ed Relay.

A boy and a girl were paired to form a team -- each running a total of three miles. The top three teams from each school counted in the final score

Adams and Murphy took first in 35:01, besting their course record time of 35:41 set last year.

The Rams' Allen McCarty and Maddie Buntin placed second in 36:14 and Jacob Brushaber and Kendal McCarthy sixth in 37:10 to give Harbor Springs nine points.

St. Francis finished second with 22 points. For the Gladiators, Morgan McCardel and Alex Primeau took third (36:26), Katie Olsen and James Alpers ninth (37:52) and Kallie Klumpp and Alex Grieve 10th (38:43).

Harbor Springs, whose girls are ranked No. 1 in Division 4 while the boys are No. 2, put two other tandems in the top eight -- Ben Kloss and Caitlin Reeves were seventh (37:12) and Mike Sydow and Katie Huffman eighth (37:27).

St. Francis had two other pairs medal -- Leah Coggon and Rickey Woods were 15th (39:07) and Addey Meachum and Kevin Kane were 17th (40:15).
