WASHINGTON — Barrett Kelpin kept cruising on Wednesday at the Michigan Open, taking a four-shot lead into the final day.
The Kalamazoo pro shot a 6-under 66 at The Orchards in the third round to move to 19-under. Nationwide Tour player Jeff Cuzzory is second at 15-under.
Play concludes today in suburban Detroit.
Traverse City native and defending champion Randy Hutchison shot a 73 Wednesday and is tied for 11th at 5-under with former Michigan State teammate Ryan Brehm.
Thompsonville's Korey Mahoney is tied for 13th at 4-under.
In a group at even par and tied for 24th is Glen Arbor's Lee Houtteman. GT Resort & Spa head pro Scott Hepert is tied for 30th at 1-over.
