Hebert makes the cut

SEASIDE, Calif. — Grand Traverse Resort & Spa head pro Scott Hebert is still alive at the PGA Professional National Championship.

Hebert shot a 2-over 74 on Monday to make the cut at 3-over par. He's tied for 45th and was two shots clear of the cut line. A birdie on the front nine had Hebert back to even par for the four-day tournament, but he finished with back-to-back bogeys on 16 and 17 to close out his round.

Fellow GT Resort & Spa pro Lee Houtteman missed the cut with a two-day total of 8-over. After a first round 77, Houtteman improved on Monday with a 75.
