ACME — Midland's Ben Roeder topped Traverse City's Winton Munch 1-up to claim the Traverse City Junior Golf Association match-play championship, boys division title on Monday.
Munch advanced to the finals with a 2 and 1 win over Leland's Joel Sneed, while Roeder was able to get past TC's Payden Myers 2 and 1 at the Grand Traverse Resort's The Bear course.
TC's Nikolaj Brons-Piche won the college boys title last weekend, while Traverse City's Anika Dy earned the girls crown.

Runners ready for Bayshore
Aside from the race packet pick-up, scheduled to take place today from 5 until 9 p.m. at Traverse City Central High School, no one would even know that in fewer than 24 hours more than 7,000 runners will have descended on Traverse City for the 31st running of the Bayshore event, which includes a marathon, half-marathon and 10K.
