TRAVERSE CITY — Lacrosse is now being offered as a girls program through the Grand Traverse Bay YMCA.
The camp runs from Aug. 6-20, with 6-8 p.m. classes each Monday and Wednesday at the YMCA. The cost is $35 for YMCA members, and $70 for non-members.
Lacrosse hand-eye coordination, stick skills, running, teamwork, fitness, rules and safety will all be covered in the three-week (six session) class.
Bring a stick, protective eyewear and mouthguard.
Limited equipment will be available. For more information, or for a registration form, call the YMCA at 933-9622.
The registration Deadline: Aug. 1.
