KINGSLEY — Suttons Bay made a run at Kingsley on Tuesday, but the host Stags held on for a 61-59 Northwest Conference win.
The Norse led 13-8 after the first quarter, but the Stags (3-2, 2-0 NWC) went on a 20-25 run over the second and third quarters for a 48-38 lead going into the fourth. Kingsley was 9-for-12 from the free-throw line.
Travis DeBello led Kingsley with 16 points while Tyler Newell had 10 points and Scott McPherson had eight rebounds.
Aaron Orban had 14 points for the Norsemen.

TC West 60 Cadillac 37
Traverse City West moved to 3-1 on the season with a 60-37 Big North Conference win over Cadillac.
The Titans (2-0 BNC) held a 32-20 lead at the half and made it 48-26 going into the fourth quarter.
Donny Cizek had 14 points in the win while Zach McGuire had 11 points and seven assists. Kendrick Meyer had 10 points and Sam Javed added eight points. TC West hosts Hudsonville on Friday.
Cadillac had 12 points from Justin Ciptak.
In the JV game, Cadillac won 47-40. Thiyo Lukas had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Titans (2-2, 1-1 BNC), Deion Dial had nine steals and seven points while Austin Cleary had eight rebounds.
TC West's freshmen won 74-31 behind 15 points from Jared Roth and 12 points from Sam Fyfe.
Glen Lake 56 Buckley 18
Glen Lake earned a 56-18 Northwest Conference win over Buckley.
The Lakers (4-1, 2-0 NWC) had 16 points from Curtis Bunek while Mike O'Brien and Carter Lee each scored 12 points.
Michael Baldinger had six points for the Bears.
Leland 62 Mesick 41
Leland had 22 points from A.J. Whittaker in a 62-41 Northwest Conference win over Mesick.
Whittaker also had 10 rebounds for the Comets (3-1, 2-0 NWC) while sophomore Cameron Stowe and Ian Duvall each scored nine points.
Thane Herbert scored 20 for the Bulldogs, but 16 of his points came in the first half.
Leland led 38-24 at the half, but then went on a 14-2 run in the third quarter to put it away.
Frankfort 63 Benzie Central 44
Frankfort had 17 points from David Loney in a 63-44 Northwest Conference win over Benzie Central.
The Panthers also had 15 points from Brandon Schaub while Owen Stratton had 10 points.
Corey Weaver led the Huskies while Javier Rodriquez had 10 points.
Grayling 49 Elk Rapids 41
Grayling took advantage of 33 Elk Rapids turnovers for a 49-41 Lake Michigan Conference win over the Elks.
The Vikings had 15 points from Jake Swander while Tyler McClanahan had 13 points.
For Elk Rapids (3-2, 1-1 LMC), Austin McMullen led the way with 13 points.
Harbor Springs 67 East Jordan 63
Harbor Springs had four players in double-digits for a 67-63 Lake Michigan Conference win over East Jordan.
The Rams were led by 21 points from Spencer Kloss. Peter Lauer scored 16 points while Neal Zoerhof and Justin Roberts each scored 11 points.
East Jordan had 15 points each from Noah Bacchus and Jordan Weber. All of Bacchus' points came in the second half.
Northport 56 GT Academy 36
Bill Stowe's 28 points led Northport to a 56-36 Cherryland Conference win over Grand Traverse Academy.
The Wildcats (2-3, 2-0 CL) also had 10 points and five steals from Armando Hernandez.
Max Boothroyd had 10 points for the Mustangs.
Mancelona 68 Ellsworth 26
Mancelona held Ellsworth to seven points in the second half for a 68-26 win.
Brandon Dingman had 31 points, 10 rebounds and five steals for the Ironmen (2-2) while Brandon Scott had 14 points and seven rebounds. Jake Winstead had nine points while Logan Borst had eight points, nine assists and eight steals.
Mancelona is at Pellston on Thursday.
Ellsworth had nine points from Nathaniel Veldboom while Winter Romeyn had eight points.
Lake City 52 Manton 37
Lake City pushed its record to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the Highland Conference with a 52-37 victory at Manton.
Senior guard Ryan Vincent stroked the nets for 20 points to pace Lake City, including a pair of treys. Junior Drew Marion tallied 14 and junior Dylan Allard came off the bench to connect for five.
Senior forward Alex Powell produced 12 points for Manton (3-1, 0-1). Matt Skiver added nine.
Onekama 68 Bear Lake 61
Onekama handed Bear Lake its first loss of the season with a 68-61 victory.
Quinn Matthews and Bryce Reckow each had 20 points for Onekama.
Bear Lake had 14 points and 11 rebounds from Josh Metiva, 13 points for Shane Peterson while Riley Merrill had 11 points and 15 rebounds.

The St. Francis JV topped Boyne City 48-44 in overtime.
Jack Krcmarik and Michael Olm each had 15 points for the Gladiators.

The St. Francis freshmen earned a 50-37 win over Boyne City.
The Gladiators (3-2) had 16 points from Dylan Sheehy while Jake Klinglesmith and Joe Coates each scored 11.

St. Francis moved to 2-0 in the Lake Michigan Conference with a 62-27 win over Boyne City.
Liza Erickson had 14 points for the Glads (5-1) while Lauren Buckel had 11 points.
Rainy McCune led the Ramblers with 10 points.
Joburg 50 Bellaire 26
Joburg had at least a point from 11 of its 13 players in a 50-26 Ski Valley Conference win over Bellaire.
Abby Schlicher led the Cardinals (6-0) with 13 points while Hailey Weaver, Brittany Cherwinski, Maddy Showerman and Katelyn Weaver all had six points.
TCC frosh 36 Boyne City frosh 22
TC Central's freshman team moved to 5-0 with a 36-22 win over Boyne City.
The Trojans had six points each from Jennifer Rose and Julianna Chang.
