Cheapest gas is in Ann Arbor area

DEARBORN-- AAA Michigan said gasoline prices are up more than 2 cents per gallon during the past week to a statewide average of $3.45.

Of the stations it surveys, the auto club said Monday that the average is about 27 cents per gallon higher than last year at this time.

AAA Michigan said the cheapest price for self-serve unleaded fuel is in the Ann Arbor area, where it's $3.45 a gallon. The highest average can be found in the Marquette area at $3.49.

Dearborn-based AAA Michigan surveys 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily.
