After Judy Gienow of Traverse City dropped her car off Dec. 8 at Wares Auto for some work, she started walking along Woodmere Avenue toward the Traverse Area District Library. That's when she slipped on some black ice, fell and broke her leg. "Two gentlemen stopped and offered to help," Judy said. (Plus more good news from around the region.)
