TRAVERSE CITY — Mr. and Mrs. Pat Denny of Traverse City celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at a private family party hosted by their children at the Bluebird restaurant in Leland.
Pat Denny and the former Sandy Smith were married on Nov. 24, 1962, at Grace Episcopal Church in Traverse City. The Rev. Francis Foley performed the ceremony.
The Dennys have been partners in and owners of Denny's Heating & Cooling Service for 35 years. Mr. Denny currently is "trying" to retire. They have lived in the Grand Traverse area for more than 50 years.
The couple's children are Lisa Baldyga, Pam Nickerson, and Kristy and Mike Helsel, all of Traverse City; and Kelly and Jeff Sandman of Honor. They also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
