Christopher R. Rundles

INTERLOCHEN — Christopher R. Rundles, 59, of Interlochen, died Monday, July 2, 2012, at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Chris died too early of brain cancer and will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Chris was born April 28, 1953, in Flint, the son on Dr. Walter Z. and EJ (Sloan) Rundles. He had worked at Munson Medical Center and United Medical Systems as an MRI Technician. He earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University and was an avid outdoorsman.

Surviving are his children, Kyle Mae and Jay Rundles and their mother, Carolynn Van Baak, with whom Chris still had a very special relationship; Sam and Noah Rundles and their mother, Inga; his mother, EJ Rundles, of Fenton; siblings, Janice Rundles, of New Hampshire, Jeff (Linda) Rundles, of Colorado, Lindsay (Vic) Tatum, of Fenton; brother-in-law, Randy Piper, of Fenton; numerous nieces and nephews; close friend, Rick Dorland, of Linden, and many friends in the Traverse City/Interlochen area.

His father, Dr. Walter Z. Rundles and sister, Karen Piper, preceded him in death.

The family extends a special thank you to the wonderful staff of Genesys Hospice.
