TRAVERSE CITY — The North American VASA Healthy Heart Benefit Tour will be held at Timber Ridge Resort on Sunday.
The tour is a joint effort that includes the Blue Care Network, Munson Medical Center and the VASA. It will benefit the Munson Women's Heart Health Fund.
The program will start at 1 p.m. Registration opens at noon. Participants can cross country ski or snowshoe at their own pace. Distances up to 16K will be available on the trails. There will be live music and heart healthy foods at the lodge afterwards.
There will also be a raffle of a Couture Red Dress, custom designed by Maggie Quinn. The brilliant red evening dress was donated to support the Munson Women's Heart Health Fund.
Free cross country skis or snowshoe rentals have been donated by Brick Wheels to the first 25 registrants. Additional rentals will be available with all proceeds to benefit the Heart Health Fund.
