CADILLAC -- Kara Pohlman swept the hurdles and anchored the winning 800 relay Tuesday as the Traverse City West girls downed Cadillac 88-75 in a Big North Conference track meet.
Pohlman won the 100 hurdles in 17.92 and the 300 intermediates in 51.9. She teamed with Mandy Scott, Dani Brzezinski and Lilia Favela to take the 800 relay in 1:53.5.
Brzezinski claimed the 200 (28.50) and Favela the long jump (15'). Brzezinski, Scott, Ruth Hines and Hannah Schnack won the 400 relay (55.11) while Scott, Veronica Asch, Erin Holstad and Favela captured the 1600 relay (4:31). Hines won the 100 (14.22) and Ashley Leitner the pole vault (10'7").
Cadillac's Kaitlyn Patterson took the 800 (2:32.6) and the 1600 (5:27.6).
Mattarella, Bower key Central win
Taylor Mattarella won the 800 (2:27.8) and 3200 (11:44) while Kortney Bower took the discus (90'1") and shot put (34'7.5") as Traverse City Central beat Gaylord 93-67 in a Big North Conference meet.
The Trojans won six other events -- Julia Otwell in the 1600 (5:30); Brianna Podsaid in the 200 (28.8); Maren Bahra in the long jump (15'4.5"); Molly Walker in the high jump (4'8"); Taylor Olson in the pole vault (7'); and Bahra, Aimee Marsh, Katie Fallick and Otwell in the 3200 relay (9:59).
Rayders dominate relays in win
Charlevoix claimed four relays to win the Bellaire Memorial Invitational.
The Rayders edged Inland Lakes, 130.5 to 114.5.Bellaire placed third (79).
Charlevoix took the 3200 (co-ed) 9:43.30, 800 (1:53.40), 400 (55.11) and 1600 (4:04.80) relays. Madeline Jeakle added a win in the high jump (4'9").
Inland Lakes picked up wins from Meghan Bruniquel in the 100 hurdles (17.10), Becky Rotter in the 400 (1:03.72), Breanna Ohlert in the pole vault (9'6") and Rebecka Hair in the discus (92'7.5").
Bellaire's Emily Kwekel took the 1600 (5:50.30) and 3200 (12:52.50).
Forest Area's Marissa Ingersoll won the 100 (13.19) and Katie Johnson the 300 hurdles (51.89).
Central Lake's Jasmine Hines captured the shot put (39'6.25") and Sarah Lambert the 800 (2:40.40).
Grand Traverse Academy's Rachel Zeppa remained unbeaten in the 200 (27.56) while Stephanie Horning took the long jump (13'5.5").

Bell leads Trojans past Gaylord
Blair Bell won the 110 high hurdles (15.1), 300 intermediates (41.7) and anchored the winning 400 (44.46) and 800 (1:33.9) relays as Traverse City Central beat Gaylord 130-33 in a Big North Conference meet.
Bell teamed with Tyler Clark, Ben Broad and Mike Heim in both relays.
Clark won the 100 (11.2), Dillon Lizenby the 400 (53.4), Jacob Borysiak the 800 (2:08.4), Reece Karbowski the 1600 (4:44.6), Evan Dancer the 3200 (10:21), Peter Johnson the shot put (48'.75"), Tim Myette the high jump (5'6"), Nick Alpers the discus (117'5") and Shawn Serrell the pole vault (11').
Borysiak, Alex Lance, Tyler Kelly and Lizenby captured the 3200 relay (8:29.8).
West beats Cadillac in Big North meet
Traverse City West won six events en route to beating Cadillac 92-71 in a Big North meet.
For the Titans, Sebby Kucera took the 1600 (4:49.5), Greg Forrester the 300 hurdles (42.5), Steve Bristol the 800 (2:14), Scott Ringwelski the high jump (5'6"), Miles Ullenbruch the long jump (18'9") and Cody Russell the 110 high hurdles (16.9).
Buday sparks Rayders to win at Bellaire
Eric Buday won the 800 (2:08.50) and 1600 (4:32.80) as Charlevoix captured the 10-team Bellaire Memorial Invitational.
The Rayders finished with 178.5 points. Onaway was second (112) and Forest Area (101.50) third.
In addition to Buday, Charlevoix had two other individual winners. Matt Golovich claimed the pole vault (11') and Bill Ivan in the shot put (42'10.25").
The Rayders captured three relays -- 3200 (9:43.30), 800 (1:38.20) and 1600 (4:04.80).
Onaway's Bryan Tucker was a double-winner, taking the 110 high hurdles (16.44) and 300 intermediates (42.78). Teammate Jan O'Bradovich won the high jump (6').
Bellaire's Ethan Murray was the meet's individual standout, winning the 100 (11.46), 200 (23.63), 400 (52.44) and long jump (19'6").
Ellsworth's Ashton Fisher won the 3200 (10:32.17), Central Lake's Nolan Howes the discus (118'9") and Pellston the 400 relay (49.08).
