BELLAIRE — Authorities charged two men who they believe made and spent fake $100 bills.
Bradley Michael Smith, of Leroy, and Eric Allen Carson, of East Jordan, both 36, each are charged with counterfeiting-possession of counterfeit money and conspiracy to commit counterfeiting. Michigan State Police arrested them last week. The charges carry a maximum 10-year prison term.
Police believe the men made and spent the fake bills at several Antrim County businesses before they eventually were caught.
The game didn't go the full nine innings, but the Traverse City Beach Bums still won their home opener 10-0 against the Evansville Otters Tuesday night.
