TRAVERSE CITY — Debra Lynn Radcliffe, 59, of Traverse City passed away Oct. 20, 2012, at her home after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Debra was born on June 25, 1953, in Traverse City to Marguerite Wheeler and Everette Tharp. She was adopted by Joseph Smith.
Debra enjoyed reading, playing bingo, and going yardsaling. She loved spending time with her friends and in her younger years enjoyed being around horses. She was a selfless person who cared about the needs of others before her own. She also enjoyed attending family reunions. Above all else, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
Debra is survived by her husband Richard "Rick" Radcliffe; son, William "Bill" Richard; daughters, Melissa Lacey and Tonya Richard; grandchildren, Michael, Hannah, Haley, Cody, Alex, and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Diamond Roze and Ella Grace Marie; mother, Marge Wemple; brothers, Dave (Pam) Smith and Joe (Diane) Smith; special friends, Sandy, Cheri, Linda, and Lois; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Debra was preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas Craig and Michael Thomas; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Father Fred Foundation or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
