Sandra Lee Burrows

TRAVERSE CITY — Sandra Lee Burrows (Schultz), 54, of Traverse City, went home to her Lord and Savior Friday, Sept. 7, 2012.

Sandy was born April 18, 1958 in Midland, Mich. Sandy earned a degree in pharmacy at Ferris State University and practiced pharmacy for many years. Sandy is remembered for her incredible kindness and her beautiful smile. She was a lover of all animals, especially dogs. Beginning with her childhood dog "Freckles" and her last, Morgan. She enjoyed the outdoors, sewing, painting, and anything artistic.

Growing up she loved fishing with her father on lakes throughout Michigan, always volunteering to bait the hooks. Though, her greatest joy in life was children, especially her grandchildren. She especially blessed their lives in countless ways. Each holiday, birthday, or just time spent together was filled with handmade decorations and themed cakes, endless food, swimming on Silver Lake, and most of all love. She was child-like herself in the way that she enjoyed playing as much as the kids themselves.

According to her wishes, she will be cremated. We ask that you celebrate her life through your photos and cherished memories of her.

Sandy is survived by her beloved husband Bill Burrows; children Amanda and Sara Burrows; grandchildren Jaxon, Kianna, Ashlynn, Lydia, and Lucas; sister-in-law, Jane Schultz; nephew Nick Schultz, and many cousin and friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William C. and Clara M. (Oesterreicher) Schultz, and brother, Robert C. Schultz.
