Northport — The Northport Community Arts Center's Christmas Concert will start at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the arts center at Northport School, 104 Wing St. It will feature the Village Voices and the Northport Community Band.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for students and free for Northport students. They are available at the office, room 202, at the school, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday; by calling 386-5001; or at the ticket booth one hour before the concert.
'Lessons and Carols'
Traverse City — Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Peninsula Drive will offer "Lessons and Carol" services on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 15-16.
The service, featuring special music, will start at 5 p.m. Saturday and will be repeated at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, replacing the 8 a.m. Sunday service. Also on Sunday, Dec. 16, the Sunday School Christmas Program titled "The Christmas Story" will be presented at 9 a.m.
Worshipers are encouraged to attend the Saturday service or come on Sunday for the Sunday School program and stay for the 10:30 a.m. service.
Atwood — Atwood Church's Christmas present to the community is a Live Nativity.
The story of the first Christmas will be told at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the church on Highway 31, south of Charlevoix. Performances are outdoors and last 20 minutes. Refreshments will follow. Call 599-3290 for details.
Holiday open house
Charlevoix — Real People Media will host an holiday open house and Voice Box session Sunday, Dec. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Community Media Center, 12555 Taylor Road.
Visitors can enjoy refreshments, tour the remodeled television studio, listen to live music, and view videos produced by RPM members. They also can record a holiday song or greeting, animate a holiday greeting and learn about community-produced television and RPM's video/audio equipment lending library.

Kalkaska — The Kalkaska Church of the Nazarene will host "Celebrate the Child: Christmas Monologues from Curt Cloninger" on Sunday, Dec. 16.
Since 1984, Cloninger has performed his unique solo theater thousands of times in various settings around the world. His appearance is the church's Christmas gift to the community.
The one-time performance will start at 6 p.m. at the church, 1367 W. Kalkaska Road. The event is free and open to the public. For details, call 258-4443.

Leland — The village will host a "Holiday Wonderland" Sunday, Dec. 16.
From noon to 3 p.m., visitors can receive discounts at participating stores when donating non-perishable food items, visit Santa and a live reindeer at the Riverside Inn, hear holiday stories at Leelanau Books and listen to carolers strolling the streets.
Garden club potluck
Acme — The Sweetwater Evening Garden Club's meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 18, will be its Christmas family potluck.
The holiday event will start at 6 p.m. at the East Bay Masonic Lodge. The public is invited.
