TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse City's 131s won their fourth tournament championship to complete the summer season.
The U-13 team defeated the Holt Rams 19-3 in the final of the Battle By The Bays tournament. Pitchers Brett Hines and Dawson Rabb combined for the victory, surrendering only five hits.
The 131s (26-12-1) pounded out 14 hits, including doubles by Gabe Callery, Tyler Frankhouse, Jake Ryan and Alex Strickland. Shortstop Jared Jackson and catcher Zach Girard provided strong defense.
