LEWISTON — Alisha Archer and Jason Vanderford, both of Traverse City, were married on Aug. 25, 2012, in an outdoor ceremony at the Garland Resort. Anne Morrison Perry, a friend of Alisha and Jason, officiated at the 5 p.m. nuptials.
Aimee Stahl of Southgate attended her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were a friend of Alisha's, Sara Dakoske of Traverse City, the groom's sister, Kristen Vanderford of East Lansing, and a friend of the bride and groom, Tami Grove of Traverse City.
Jason chose his friend, Tom Brayton of Traverse City, to serve as his best man. Groomsmen were friends of the groom, Ramiro Zarate of Dearborn, and Peter Roemer and Trevor Williams, both of Traverse City. Ushers were the bride's brother-in-law, Jacob Stahl of Southgate, and a friend of Jason's, Brian Daly of East Lansing.
The newlyweds greeted guests at an evening reception in the Great Room at the Garland Resort. The couple honeymooned in Negril, Jamaica.
Alisha is the daughter of Bill and Mary Kay Archer of Traverse City. She graduated from Traverse City West Senior High School, received a degree in elementary education/language arts from Grand Valley State University, and a reading specialist degree from Central Michigan University. Alisha is employed by Traverse City Area Public Schools as a third-grade teacher at Old Mission Elementary School.
Jason is the son of Steve and Scottie Vanderford of Traverse City. He graduated from Traverse City Central High School and received a degree in business management from Davenport University. Jason is employed in sales by Brown Lumber Company.
