THOMPSONVILLE — Traverse City West's girls picked up their first Big North Conference win on Tuesday.
The Titans won their own invitational at Crystal Mountain, closing the gap on TC Central heading to the last BNC meet on Feb. 21.
"If we don't have any major mistakes, I think we are right in the mix," TC West coach Ed Johnson said. "This gives us a big boost going into the regional meet (on Feb.16)."
The Titans won the girls meet with 38 points, followed by TC Central with 53 and Petoskey with 67.
"They worked really well as a team," Johnson said. "We had no major mistakes. We had one go down in the slalom, but we did really well in the GS."
