TRAVERSE CITY - At least two people remain hospitalized following a three-vehicle Grand Traverse County traffic crash.
Sheriff's deputies went to M-37 near Grouse Drive on Tuesday at about 7 p.m. Their investigation indicates Harmony Ann-Louise Bielski, 31, of Traverse City, was heading south and waiting to turn left into a private drive when she was struck from behind by another southbound vehicle driven by a Amber Dawn Smith, 20, of Buckley.
The rear-ended vehicle also contained Stephen Joseph Bielski, 34, and the couple's four children. That vehicle was pushed across the center line and then was struck by a vehicle driven north by John Adam-Ward Bell, 52, of Central Lake.
All occupants of all three vehicles went to Munson Medical Center. Both adult Bielskis and possibly one of their children remained there this morning, sheriff's Capt. Randy Fewless said.
None of the children sustained life-threatening injuries, authorities said. Hospital officials couldn't immediately be reached to provide statuses of those there.
