Connie Louise Renollet

TRAVERSE CITY — Connie Louise Renollet, 61, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully at her sister's home on Sept. 28, 2012. She was born March 16, 1951, to Daniel Calvin and Helen (Phlipot) Renollet.

Connie was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, "Meme" and dear friend. She was a dark-haired, dark-eyed beauty with an infectious laugh who enjoyed a walk in the woods with her favorite dog, a day at Lake Michigan with the sun warming her face or a spontaneous drive with no destination in mind.

Connie's essence was to live a spiritual life which was also immersed in the beauty of nature. She had the greatest capacity for love and radiated that love to those around her. Connie was one to inspire people with her sweet, unobtrusive ways while showing true strength in spirit and character.

She loved her grandchildren deeply and instilled so many memories within their hearts, including the true understanding of how we are all individuals on our own journeys and to enjoy every moment along the way.

Connie is survived by her dear mother, Helen Coil; daughters, Jennifer (Jeff) Rhodes and Jessica Werner; was lovingly known as "Meme" to six grandchildren, Jordan, Tori, Addie, Ben, Lilly and Evie; sisters, Linda (George) Hoffmeister, Jan Chapman, Helen Renollet, Pam Ruthenberg and Cindy (Pierre) Odum; brothers, Daniel (Elaine) Renollet, Jim (Sandy) Coil and Mike (Christine) Coil; and 19 nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Martha Coil.

Connie was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Calvin Renollet; stepfather, Curtis Coil; and stepbrother, Curtis Coil Jr.

We, the family, celebrate one of God's greatest gifts and hope we can emulate this beautiful woman who lived, danced, sang, cried, loved and rejoiced in life and in her next journey.

A special thank you is extended to Connie's guardian angel, Helen Renollet, for the love, support and care she gave our mother.

The rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 5 at St. Francis Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The family will greet friends starting at 10 a.m.
