TRAVERSE CITY — A determined Traverse City Wolves finished the regular season with a 38-7 win over the Grand Rapids Thunder Saturday at Thirlby Field.
The Wolves finished the season with a 5-5 record.
Traverse City still held a chance of making the playoffs, but had to wait and see if three teams lost their games Saturday night.
In TC's win, quarterback Brian Mauer led the way with 11-for-18 passing for 215 yards and two touchdowns. One came early in the fourth quarter to Patrick Fancy for a 35-7 lead.
In the closing minute, Ray Gidley came up with an interception to finalize the outcome.
