Wrestlers head to individual state finals

Northern Michigan will be represented by 21 wrestlers at the state finals begining today at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

In Division 2, Petoskey will send four seniors in Kegan Arthur (135), Alex Cannon (145), Zach Marighugh (160) and Jacob Kisro (189).

Kingsley will send four wrestlers in Division 3 with freshman York Ash (103), junior Joey Leach (140) and seniors Steven Fultz (125) and Austin Sanchez (135).

Division 3 also has three representatives each from Grayling and Benzie while Cheboygan has one. The Vikings are sending junior Joe White (125) and seniors Kyle Peters (285) and Matt Townsend (171), Benzie has freshman Jared Fekete (125) and seniors David Knudsen (171) and Daren Crawford (189) while the Chiefs are sending senior Nick Perhai (119).

Traverse City St. Francis has two representatives in Division 4 with sophomore Isaiah Schaub (119) and senior Paul Britten (189).

Also competing in Division 4 are Onaway sophomore Alex Fullerton (119), Manton senior David Ashley (119), Forest Area sophomore Tom Hall (215), and Boyne City senior Drew Nohel (160).
