BENZONIA -- Traverse City Central's Cody Vickers won the heavyweight class in the Benzie Central JV Invitational.
Vickers finished 2-1 with a pin. Teammate Vai Taula finished second, also going 2-1 with a pin.
Justin Ray was second at 119 (2-1) and James Dimas second at 215 (2-1). Cam Benak at 125, Julian McCuien at 152 and Max Bollinger at 189 all went 1-2 to place third.
Traverse City St. Francis Isaiah Schaub and Paul Britten will attempt to work their way back through the Division 4 consolation bracket on Saturday to wrestle for third place in their weight classes after semifinal losses Friday evening.
