Vats Phengahamkip had a pin at 135 pounds to seal Traverse City Central's 42-36 win over Flushing.
The Trojans lost a 50-30 decision to Bay City Central in their first match at Saginaw Swan Valley.
Phengahamkip finished 2-0 on the night. Also unbeaten were Connor Kerndt at 112 (1-0), Paco Diaz at 130 (2-0) and Zack Roberge at 160 (2-0). Ending up 1-1 were Hart Cauchy at 103, Cam Benek at 125, Quinn May at 145, Jordan Lutze at 189 and Cody Vickers at heavyweight.
Traverse City St. Francis Isaiah Schaub and Paul Britten will attempt to work their way back through the Division 4 consolation bracket on Saturday to wrestle for third place in their weight classes after semifinal losses Friday evening.
