TRAVERSE CITY -- For the second straight year, Traverse City St. Francis is a district wrestling champion.
The Gladiators beat Forest Area 52-21 at home Wednesday in the Division 3 district final.
Earlier, St. Francis picked up a 56-6 win over Kalkaska.
The Gladiators (19-19) now move on to next week's regional at Pine River.
Trish Martin (103), Jake Dawson (112), Isaiah Schaub (125), Brian Raetz (130), Jack Jamieson (135), Seth Kellicut (140), Alex Picardat (152) and Paul Britten (189) all went 2-0 for St. Francis.
Kingsley wins district title
Kingsley topped Benzie Central 41-25 to claim a Division 3 district crown.
Benzie advanced to the finals with a 68-6 win over Elk Rapids.
Junior heavyweight Tyler Croton followed up his second Mid-Michigan Conference title with a victory in Wednesday's district
Other wins for the Stags came from York Ash (103), Dallas Sanchez (112), Steven Fultz (125), Austin Sanchez (135), Joe Leach (140), Gabe Collins (145), Luke Szymshack (160) and James Riffle (171).
Kingsley -- which is 30-5 in duals this season -- will participate in individual districts at Benzie on Saturday before going to team regionals at Roscommon next Wednesday.
