TC West splits two duals
Traverse City West defeated Houghton Lake, but fell to Petoskey in a double dual.
The Titans topped the Bobcats 44-33 and rallied against the Northmen before dropping a 53-30 decision.
Petoskey led 24-0 to start off, but West came back to knot it up at 24 each.
Double winners for the Titans were Kaleb Case (103 pounds), Mike Ostram (112) and Liam Curtis (215/285).
Sean Hall (130), Rob Innis (135), Kyle Schaub (140), Ryan Drake (152), Tyler Schaffer (160), Zack Skeels (189) and Brandon Dalzell (215) each won one match.
Drake and Savannah Stuart-Dahl (130) picked up JV victories, both by pin.
Trojans top Alpena
Traverse City Central opened the Big North Conference with a 51-23 win over Alpena.
The Trojans won five weight classes by pin -- Vats Phenghamkip at 135 (1:39), Quinn McKay at 145 (1:51), Zack Roberge at 160 (:31), Brenden Beger at 215 (1:52) and Cody Vickers at heavyweight (3:54).
Paco Diaz claimed a 4-2 decision at 125. Hart Cauchy at 103, Jacob Ansorge at 125 and Noah Lalonde at 171 won by void.
Three Trojans won JV matches by pin -- heavyweight Vai Taula (:39), Malcolm Lalonde at 152 (1:35) and Cam Benak at 125 (1:01).
Collins wins 100th
Gabe Collins posted his 100th career win as Kingsley swept Benzie Central 44-30 and Manton 57-24 in a pair of dual meets.
Collins, wrestling at 152, was one of seven Kingsley wrestlers to finish 2-0 on the night. The others: York Ash at 103, Dallas Sanchez at 112, Calvin Montgomery at 125, Luke Szymshack at 160, Lewis Generaux at 171 and Tyler Croton at heavyweight.
Kingsley is 14-4 in duals.
